Blizzard Entertainment Recovers Missing StarCraft Gold Master CD

Quite interesting story developed over the past few weeks, when Reddit user Khemist49 bought a bunch of stuff on eBay and accidentally came across a digital jewel. Unsure what to do, he posted the following in Reddit:

“Could this be the missing Gold Disc? I purchased a lot off eBay with a ton of Blizzard stuff that appeared to be from a storage unit. This and a bunch of Blizzard games were in the unit…”

Eventually, he decided to reach out to Blizzard Entertainment and shipped the CD back to Blizzard. A few weeks later, Blizzard sent him a free copy of Overwatch: Origins, a $250 voucher to spend in the Blizzard Store, and an all-expense-paid accommodations to attend BlizzCon for free.

The thing is Blizzard Entertainment said this Gold Master CD was either missing or stolen many years ago. It is absolutely amazing that Blizzard got it back just when they are developing the StarCraft Remastered with 4K HD support. — source
