StarCraft: Remastered Developer Update 5
Lead engineer Grant Davies announced a new StarCraft: Remastered PTR is coming soon.
Currently, StarCraft ignores keyboard input if the mouse is held down. The community has asked Blizzard to change this. So the PTR will provide Blizzard’s proposed answer to this problem.
Players will help test changes in the matchmaking algorithm to be able to match more often with Korean players.
Some time ago, Blizzard posted a thread of many issues they intend to prioritize and address in 2019. Some of those are already live, and others are currently in development.
Grant Davies also announced that StarCraft: Remastered 64-Bit is ahead of schedule, and soon we will see an Opt-in version. However, Mac users will have the 64-bit version as default; and at some point in the future that will be true for Windows as well. In short, support for StarCraft: Remastered 32-bit will end.
In addition, the StarCraft: Remastered forum will soon be transferred to the family of modern Battle.net forums.
There are some interesting features coming in the pipeline for 2019 such as group matchmaking, but some of those in development will be announced at a later time.
