Zsaz: Cerebrate, be warned. While Daggoth is occupied with the forces of the Dominion, the emanations of the Chrysalis have called even more of our enemies to Char!
Overmind: These too shall be eradicated by your hand, Cerebrate, for you grow more cunning with each passing battle. Indeed, you are a testament to my will and the fury of the Swarm.
Yet first must you stay your wrath, and watch over the Chrysalis a while longer. For the very hour of the sleeper’s rebirth is at hand, and soon my greatest creation shall be loosed.
AGENT OF THE SWARM
Primary Hive Cluster
- Protect the Chrysalis until it is ready to hatch.
Zerg Queens have the ability to “Infest” a severely damaged Terran Command Center. Once infested, the Command Center is now a Zerg structure capable of building Infested Terrans that explode when attacking.
You start with 3 Drones, 2 Queens, 2 Overlords, 5 Zerglings, and 4 Hydralisks.
Buildings: Hatchery, Extractor, 2 Sunken Colonies, 1 Creep Colony, and 3 Spore Colony.
200 Minerals – 250 Vespene Gas – 14/17 Units .
Send your 3 drones to collect Minerals.
Morph 3 Drones at the Hatchery.
At 17/17, morph an Overlord at the Hatchery.
Raynor: All right. All crews, stay frosty, and keep your eyes peeled for our target. Remember, not only are we up against the Zerg here, but our old pal General Duke may be creepin’ around too. Let’s hope this trip wasn’t a big mistake…
At 1:00 your Extractor will be attacked by the Terrans: 2 marines and 2 firebats. Send your 4 Hydras and 5 Zerglings to that spot before 1:00.
Send a drone north of your base. There is another patch of Minerals there for an expansion base.
Around 1:35, a dropship will drop a Goliath near the Extractor.
Once the Overlord spawns, morph 4 Drones.
At 2:27, a dropship drops another Goliath.
Once the expansion Hatchery completes mutation, morph drones on both Hatcheries until you reach 26/26.
Morph an Overlord at the Hatchery.
Mutate a Drone into a Spawning Pool.
Morph 2 Drones.
You will be attacked by 3 firebats and 3 marines at some point. Be alert for attacks near the Extractor.
Morph 2 additional Drones.
Send a Drone to mutate into a Hydralisk Den.
Send another Drone to mutate into an Evolution Chamber.
Morph 3 drones at the Hatcheries.
Send 3 Drones to harvest the Extractor for Vespene Gas.
Mutate a Refinery at the expansion base and assign 3 drones to harvest it once completed.
Click the Hydralisk Den and evolve Muscular Augments [M] to increase the Hydralisk movement speed.
Click the Evolution Chamber. Upgrade Missile Attacks [A] to increase the Hydralisk damage.
Morph an Overlord to push unit limit to 50, and 8 Hydralisks. Continue to pump out Hydralisks, and additional Overlords.
Terrans will increase attack waves when the countdown reaches 2:00.
At 00:30 in the countdown, a message appears onscreen.
Zasz: Cerebrate! The Chrysalis is opening! Do not allow any Terrans near it!
When the countdown ends at 0:00 — the Mature Chrysalis hatches.
Overmind: Arise, my daughter. Arise… Kerrigan.
Kerrigan: By your will, father, I live to serve… Let all who oppose the Overmind feel the wrath of the Swarm.
Overmind: Well done, Cerebrate! What I have wroght this day shall be the undoing of my enemies! Let not a Terran survive…
Raynor: Mother of God… Kerrigan what have they done to you?
NEW MISSION OBJECTIVES
- Infest or destroy Raynor’s Command Center.
- Kerrigan must Survive.
By now you should have over 14 Hydralisks and have 53/58 units.
Continue to morph Hydralisks at the base.
Mutate a Hatchery into a Lair.
Build a new Hatchery.
Click the Hydralisk Den. Evolve Grooved Spines to increase the Hydralisk attack range.
Once completed, click the Lair. Evolve Ventral Sacs to allow Overlords to transport units like a dropship. This map has islands in a pit of magma. So you need to transport units across to the other islands.
Morph 6 Zergling Eggs and send them to patrol east of your base.
Morph a new Overlord to increase unit limit to 74.
Morph 6 new Drones and send them to mine.
Evolve Pneumatized Carapace to increase the Overlord movement speed.
Put 2 Drones and half or more of your forces inside Overlords to transport across the magma. There is an empty expansion mineral field southeast of your base. Drop them there to protect the island, and to destroy any dropship traffic.
Mutate the 2 Drones into a Hatchery at the island expansion.
Continue to morph Hydralisks at the main base, and more Overlords until you are around 83/91.
Put most of your main base Hydralisks and Zerglings into 8 Overlords and transport them across the magma to attack the Terran base at the top-right corner of the map — east of your main base.
Prefferably, unload at this spot where there is only one Missile Turret.
Send the Overlords back to your main base.
Continue to morph Hydralisks at your base.
By now the 2 Hatcheries at the Island Expansion have been completed. Morph Drones there as well.
Morph an Overlord once you reach the 81/84 limit.
Load your Overlords with more Hydras, and drop them at the Terran base to support your existing troops there.
Attack the Terran Command Center.
Send a Queen to infest the Command Center when it has low hitpoints.
Raynor: Sarah… is that really you?
Kerrigan: To an extent… I’m far more than I once was, Jim. You shouldn’t have come here.
Raynor: But the dreams… I dreamed you were still alive… that somehow… you were calling to me.
Kerrigan: I was. While I was in the Chrysalis, I instinctively reached out to you and Arcturus telepathically. Apparently, Arcturus sent Duke here to reclaim me. But that was then, Jim. I’m one of the Zerg, now. And I like what I am. You can’t imagine how this feels…
Raynor: So what? Are you goin’ to kill me now, darlin’?
Kerrigan: It is certainly within my power. But you’re not a threat to me, Jim. Be smart. Leave here now, and never seek to confront the Zerg again.
Raynor: Doesn’t look like I have much choice.
