BRIEFING

Kerrigan: Cerebrate, it’s time we returned to Shakuras. I have some unfinished business with the Dark Templar Matriarch, Raszagal. I’ll need to steal her from her tribe before we can finally assault the Overmind on Char. However, her defenders will not simply allow us to take her away.

Duran: The pylon clusters are generating some sort of electromagnetic field that is preventing our flyers from maneuvering. We won’t have any air support at all.

Kerrigan: Then we’ll need some new strategy…

Duran: Perhaps it would be best if we staged some kind of diversion, my Queen, and claimed the Matriarch during the confusion.

Kerrigan: What did you have in mind, Duran?

Duran: The Protoss outpost of Talematros is built upon a large mesa and is essentially impregnable to ground attacks. However, Talematros is fueled and supported by a number of adjacent pylon clusters. I believe that if we can cause a surge within those pylon clusters, we can cause Talematros’ power grids to overload. The resulting explosion will be the perfect cover for retrieving the Matriarch.

Kerrigan: Clean, simple, devious. I like it. Make it happen Duran. Cerebrate, you’ll provide cover for Duran as he infiltrates the pylon clusters. Let nothing stand in our way!


OBJECTIVES

Select the Lair. Evolve Antennae for increased Overlord sight range.

Select the Lair. Mutate into a Hive.

Send all newest units, an Overlord, and DURAN to the Protoss base your army is attacking to provide reinforcements. Keep the Overlord with the new units to detect Dark Templar.

Build 5 Hydralisks at main base.

Build 3 Overlords at north expansion.

Bring Duran to the beacon.

Duran: Pylon cluster set to overload.

Keep some forces at that destroyed base

Build 12 Hydralisks at main base.

Select the Evolution Chamber. Upgrade Melee Attacks (M) Level 2.

Select the Evolution Chamber. Upgrade Missile Attacks (A) Level 2.

Select the Evolution Chamber. Upgrade Carapace (C) Level 2.

Build a Hydralisk at main base.

Send all Hydralisks and Zerglings — including the newest built units to attack this protoss base. Bring Overlords and Duran transported in one of them.

Build 4 Hydralisks at main base.

Build 3 eggs of Zerglings.

Select the Spawning Pool. Upgrade Adrenal Glands (A) for faster Zergling attack.

Send 4 Drones INSIDE an Overlord (or Dark Templars will kill them along the way), and build 2 Hatcheries at this hidden expansion (I’ll refer to it as expansion #3).

Build 3 Hydralisks at north expansion.

Build 3 Hydralisks at main base.

Send every newest unit to protect expansion #3.

Build 4 Hydralisks at main base.

Build a Hydralisk at north expansion.

Build 3 Hydralisks at south expansion.

Build 2 Sunken Colony at expansion #3 — while the 2 Hatcheries are in construction.

Once that protoss base is destroyed, move all your army and newly built units to attack the next protoss base (here). Bring Overlords to detect Dark Templar.

Build 6 eggs of Zerglings at main base.

Build 3 Overlords at main base.

Send newest units to reinforce your main army at the protoss base — they have Reavers there.

Build an Extractor at expansion #3

Send Duran INSIDE an Overlord to the next safe beacon.

Send your entire army to destroy the next Protoss base — including the newest built units.

Select 10 Drones from your main base and load them inside Overlords. Unload them at expansion #3 to harvest minerals from different nodes each.

Build an egg of Zerglings at north base.

Send all newest units to reinforce your army at the protoss base.

Destroy this protoss base and bring Overlords to detect Dark Templar (protoss base located at the bottom-left corner of your mini-map).

Build 12 eggs of Zerglings at main base.

Load 4 Drones inside an Overlord. Unload them at the protoss base you just destroyed. Build 2 Hatcheries there, and 2 Sunken Colony.

Send all 24 Zerglings to reinforce your main army.

Send all army units to destroy the next Protoss base here.

Build 12 Hydralisks at main base.

Build 4 Spore Colonies at expansion #3 (soon at 19:00 a Carrier and 3 Scouts might attack).

Build 6 Drones at expansion #3.

Send all newer units to reinforce your main army.

Send all units to attack the last Protoss base. Bring Overlords along the path to detect Dark Templar. They also have Scouts and Corsairs.
