Full Circle | StarCraft: Remastered (Zerg Campaign #10)

Zerg Swarm

High Orbit over Protoss Homeworld of Aiur.

Overmind: You have done well, my Cerebrate. The Protoss can do nothing but flee before the onslaught of the Swarm. But now you must assault one final site before our conquest is assured.

Behold, there is a temple, not far from here, that lies upon ground most hallowed. Though I have born witness to the passing of countless millennia, the temple which you must assault is older by far. For it was constructed by my creators, the Xel’Naga, and it marks the site where the Xel’Naga first set foot upon Aiur.

The temple must be cleared, and the Khaydarin Crystal set in its place. Only then shall the way be made ready. For it is upon that ground alone that I may be manifest.

  • Destroy the Protoss Temple.

You start with 3 Drones, 6 Zerglings, 2 Hydralisks, 1 Ultralisk, and 4 Overlords.

Buildings: Hatchery, and 2 Creep Colonies.

10000 Minerals – 1000 Vespene Gas – 13/33 Units .

Send all 3 Drones to harvest minerals.

Morph a new Drone.

Command your 3 Hydralisks and 6 Zerglings to destroy the Creep Colony.

Mutate 2 Drones into a second and third Hatchery

Morph 5 new Drones as minerals become available and send them to harvest minerals.

Mutate a Drone into a Spawning Pool.

Morph 13 new Drones at the Hatcheries as minerals become available. Send them to harvest minerals.

At 29/35, mutate a Drone into a Hydralisk Den.

Morph 3 new Drones at the Hatchery.

Mutate a Drone into a fourth Hatchery.

Click the Hydralisk Den. Evolve Muscular Augments (M).

Morph 4 new Hydralisks at the Hatcheries.

Morph a new Overlord.

Morph 5 new Drones at the Hatcheries as minerals become available.

Mutate a Drone into an Extractor at the Vespene Geyser, located north of your base.

Mutate a Hatchery into a Lair .

Morph 8 new Drones at the Hatcheries.

Morph a new Overlord.

Send 3 Drones to harvest Vespene Gas at the Extractor.

Around 4:20 you might get an attack from the east: 2 Scouts and 1 Zealot. This might vary from player to player. Have the current 6 Hydralisks ready to defend.

Morph 3 new Hydralisks at the Hatcheries.

Morph 2 new Drones at the Hatcheries.

Mutate 2 Drones into 2 Evolution Chambers.

Group up all your Hydralisks. Set the Hatcheries to Rally at that point.

Morph 4 new Hydralisks at the Hatcheries.

Do not build a Hatchery at the easternmost Minerals field. There are 3 photon cannons in high ground. I can tell you right now you will lose more Hydralisks than it is worth. If you do, you might also aggro a Carrier and lose extra Hydralisks on top of the ones you lost.

Click the Evolution Chambers. Evolve Missile Attacks (A) and Carapace (C) Level 1.

Morph 6 new Hydralisks at the Hatcheries.

Mutate 2 Drones into 2 Queen’s Nests.

Mutate the Lair into a Hive (H).

Mutate 2 Drones into a Creep Colony at the top of the minerals to your right.

Morph 5 new Drones at the Hatcheries.

Mutate the 2 Creep Colonies into Sunken Colony.

Click the Spawning Colony. Evolve Metabolic Boost to increase Zergling movement speed.

Mutate a Drone into a third Evolution Chamber.

Click an Evolution Chamber. Evolve Melee Attacks (M).

Mutate a Drone into a new Hatchery at the western Minerals field. When it is completed morph 6 Drones to harvest it.

Morph 5 new Hydralisks and an 2-3 Overlords at the Hatcheries.

At the Spawning Pool, evolve Adrenal Glands for faster Zergling Attack.

At both Evolution Chambers, evolve Missile Attacks (A) and Carapace (C) Level 2.

Now continue to amass an army of Hydralisks and Zerglings until you are above 100/132.

Send your Zerglings and Hydralisks to attack the protoss at the bottom-left corner of the map. After destroying the photon cannons, focus on the pylons so the protoss can’t make units from the Gateway and Robotics Facility while you are destroying their base.

Continue to morph new Hydralisks and rally them to support your troops at the western protoss base.

When the protoss base is destroyed, send 2 Drones to mutate into 2 Hatcheries: one close to the minerals, and the other one closer to the Vespene Geyser. Morph 6 Drones and send them here while those 2 Hatcheries are mutating. Mutate a Drone into an Extractor at the Vespene Geyser. Send 6 drones to harvest minerals and 3 Drones to harvest vespene gas once the Hatchery is completed.

Once you recover from losses, and have a sizeable army — send them to the eastern Protoss base and destroy it. Now you totally control the bottom side of the map where most attacks on your base came from, and can focus on heading north.

To enter the eastern protoss base, the ramp is located further northeast (see the minimap in the image below).

Once you destroy those 2 photon cannons and kill the 4 zerglings, destroy the pylons, the battery, and the Gateway.

Head south toward the protoss base.

If the Carrier didn’t attack you earlier, there might be one here along with 2 Scouts.

Click the Evolution Chamber. Evolve Melee Attacks (M) Level 2.

Have enough Overlords to reach 150/150 limit, and continue to morph new Zerglings and Hydralisks as resources become available.

Once the eastern protoss base is destroyed, send 2 Drones to mutate into a new Hatcheries and an Extractor.

Morph 9 Drones at your main base and send them here. Once the Hatchery and Extractor are complete, command them to harvest minerals and vespene gas.

Continue to push your troops to 150/150.

If needed, there is a hidden solo Vespene Geyser far northeast, and two fields of Minerals northwest. Mostly unprotected, except for 2 nearby zealots and a dragoon.

Rally all of your units at this spot in the center of the map.

Click the Evolution Chamber. Evolve Missile Attacks (A) and Carapace (C) Level 3.

Start making lots of Zerglings to conserve Vespene Gas.

The most efficient way to complete the mission is to attack following this path:

From the rally point, you will encounter 4 Dragoons at the chokepoint, evenly spread.

There are 3 more Dragoons separate from each other — stationed in high ground as you enter the walled protoss base.

Then you will face 1-2 Scouts and a Carrier, and 2 Zealots at the center of the base. There is an additional Zealot to the far left of the Stargate, and a Dragoon in high ground by the end portion of the left wall.

Head north at the chokepoint between the two walls. There are 4 photon cannons, 2 Zealots, and 1 Dragoon. If you go in with Hydralisks, you will lose too many to these 4 photon cannons. Destroy the photon cannons with a bunch of zerglings to get the cannons aggro. Send Hydralisks behind the zerglings and destroy this perimeter.

The only thing left to do now is to destroy the Protoss Temple. There are 2 Archons — but more might aggro to this spot. There is a High Templar and a nearby Zealot too.

When you destroy the protoss temple, a message appears onscreen.

Daggoth: Cerebrate, the Protoss have launched a final offensive to keep us from the ruins. You must hold them at bay for awhile longer!

  • Bring Khaydarin Crystal to the remains of the Protoss Temple.

The protoss will continue to send zealots, dragoons, and High Templar to your location at the destroyed protoss temple. Fend them off.

Bring the Drone holding the Khaydarin Crystal to the new beacon where the protoss temple was destroyed.

Overmind: Now shall the events set into motion so long ago be made complete. For the Protoss, too, were created by the Xel’Naga. They were the first creation, gifted with a purity of form. And we were the second creation, blessed with a purity of essence. Indeed, our two species are but opposite facets of a greater whole. Soon shall our two races be made as one. Thenceforth shall all feel the wrath of the eternal Swarm… For the hour of judgement is come!
