BRIEFING
Aldaris: En Taro Adun, Executor. Your defense of Antioch has restored my faith in the Templar caste. I admit that Tassadar’s desertion had shaken my faith.
Tassadar: Indeed, Aldaris? I would hope that the Judicator would put more faith in their Templar brethren.
Aldaris: Tassadar! Where have you been?
Tassadar: Be silent, Judicator. There is no time to waste, and I have much to tell you. As you know, the Zerg vanished after the fall of the Terran world of Tarsonis, and though the Conclave bid me return home, I was compelled to remain.
A powerful psionic call drew my attention to a remote, barren world named Char. Apparently, the call was answered by others as well. For upon Char, I encountered those who were once our brethren – the Dark Templar.
Aldaris: Consorting with the Fallen Ones is heresy!
Tassadar: Enough! Hear me, Executor, for I have learned much from the Dark Templar Prelate, Zeratul.
The Overmind controls its minions through agents called Cerebrates. Strike down the Cerebrates, and the Swarms will surely fall.
Fenix: Executor, Tassadar may be right. If you can keep the Zerg occupied, my force may be able to penetrate their perimeter and slay the abomination.
Aldaris: I pray we can trust you, Tassadar. Already I can sense the taint of the Fallen Ones’ influence on your mind. You must return to Aiur at once!
Tassadar: My concern is for the safety of Aiur, not the judgments of the Conclave. I will return when the time is right.
OBJECTIVES
- Distract the Zerg while Fenix gets into position.
- Kill the Zerg Cerebrate.
- Fenix must survive.
RESOURCES
You start with 3 Probes, 2 Dragoons, and 4 Zealots.
Buildings: Nexus, and 2 Pylons.
170 Minerals – 15/25 Supplies.
STRATEGY
15:00 minutes until Fenix is in position.
Send the 3 Probes to harvest minerals.
Build 5 new Probes as minerals become available.
At 20/25, build a Gateway.
Build 2 new Probes.
Send your forces to the north. There are 3 hidden zerglings.
Send your forces down the ramp to explore south. There are 5 Zerglings not too far.
No need to explore further east yet until you have a proper army. Careful with the Sunken Colony. Ignore it for now.
South from that spot are 3 Zerglings and 3 Hydralisks (burrowed). A mutalisk a bit to the east. You might lose 2 zealots if you fight them. So don’t fight them at all. Get back to base after killing the potential enemy units that would have attacked your base later.
Move all your units to protect the base above your minerals. That’s where Hydralisks will attack later.
Build an Assimilator at the Vespene Geyser. Then send 3 probes to harvest Vespene Gas when it is completed.
When the Gateway is complete, this message pops onscreen:
TIP: Build a Shield Battery to recharge your units’ shields.
Build a new Probe.
Build a Cybernetics Core.
Build 3 new Probes.
Build a new Pylon.
Build a new Probe.
Select the Cybernetics Core. Upgrade Singularity Charge.
Build 2 new Probes.
Build 3 new Dragoons.
At 29/33, build a Forge.
Build a new Dragoon.
Build a second Gateway.
Build a new Probe.
Build a new Pylon at the top of the ramp. If Zerg attack, this pylon serves as a warning. Send your units to attack if something comes.
Build a third Gateway.
Build 2 new Dragoons.
Build 2 new Pylon.
Build 3 new Dragoons.
Build 4 new Probes.
When you have 7+ Dragoons, send them along with your 4+ Zealots to attack the center of the map. There are 4 Mutalisks and 4 Sunken Colonies. Try to lure the Mutalisks and any nearby Hydralisk away from the Sunken Colonies and kill them. Then focus the Sunken Colonies.
There are about 3 Hydralisks burrowed near the rightmost Sunken Colonies (center of map).
As your minions lose shield or health, move them behind the other units until they regenerate shields. This way you avoid unit losses.
Build 2 new Dragoons and rally them to join your army’s location.
Attack the enemy base around 3:55 in the countdown.
Whenever you can, destroy the Hydralisk Den. This will prevent the zerg from building new Hydralisks. Then the Spawning Pool. Then the Lair.
Build 5 more Dragoons and rally them to your army’s location.
Make sure to kill all Drones before moving to destroy other buildings.
You should have about 15+ Dragoons by the time the zerg base is destroyed.
When the 15:00 minutes countdown ends…
Fenix: Executor we are in position. I await your orders.
TIP: You must build Scarabs for your Reavers before you can attack with them.
EDITOR: Fenix spawns with 3 Reavers, 5 Zealots, and 5 Dragoons at the top-right corner of the mini-map.
Now destroy the 3 Sunken Colonies south of the Zerg base. There is the Cerebrate.
Fenix: I will remain behind and observe the effects of our attack. Return to the Citadel. I shall notify you when the Brood becomes erratic.
