Leak: StarCraft TV Series Pitch by Stargate Executive Producer Shelved
About 19 hours ago, Dial the Gate podcast host David Read interviewed Joseph Mallozzi (writer/executive producer) — better known for Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Stargate: Universe, and most recently SYFY Dark Matter TV Series.
Joseph Mallozzi revealed he worked on the script of a StarCraft TV series that unfortunately got shelved.
Joseph: “I had been working on an adaptation of a comic book; and it has been temporarily shelved; but I had hopes that it would continue. Honestly, in this industry, you are juggling so many projects that more often than not, they end up in your project graveyard, which is kinda sad.
But what I will do is I will tell you if a project is dead. Then I will definitely tell you. There is just so many that come to mind. I pitched a StarCraft TV Series, and I remember I sat down and I watched like 16 hours of gameplay and basically got the story down and made the pitch, and it didn’t go anywhere; and I was incredibly bummed.“
